We can proudly say that FinnSauna was chosen for the project from among several market-leading contractors, securing the opportunity to design and install the sauna and steam room for this absolutely breathtaking destination’s spa.

The client had a clear goal in mind: create a sauna and steam room to perfectly fulfil the Sulha Spa’s purpose ‒ “to uplift, replenish and create an experience of wellness for your mind and body”, and to complement their exquisite Himalayan salt chamber.
The sauna’s panelling and benching were custom-made from Finnish Aspen, imported directly from Finland, and totally free of knots as per the client’s request. The two-tier U-shaped benching comfortably accommodates ten to twelve bathers. An in-built, Finnish-made Harvia electric heater with stones provides the heating. Guests especially enjoy the two windows that allow natural lighting and exceptional views of the Indian Ocean.
The steam room’s curved ceiling features embedded fibre optic lighting. The benching, wall and ceiling modules in the steam room were custom-made in Finland and lined with high-quality imported ceramic tiles. Matching imported ceramic floor tiles of the very best quality were used in the sauna and steam room, and both rooms have glass doors and -fronts that add to the sense of space, light and luxury.
The design and implementation stages of this project progressed very much like those for any of our other clients, the only difference being the geographic distance and complex logistics involved:
