A gym sauna that does it both ways.
A hybrid sauna for a Grafton gym: real Finnish löyly and infrared in the same room.
This gym in the heart of Grafton didn't do anything by halves. Sleek design, serious kit, and they wanted a sauna to match. Something their members wouldn't find anywhere else. Our answer: a hybrid.
A hybrid gives you two saunas in one room. Proper Finnish löyly from a Harvia heater, and gentle full-spectrum infrared from panels set into the walls and tucked behind and under the benches. Members pick the heat they feel like, or have both at once.
We built the benches and infrared surrounds in our Auckland workshop first, so the fit-out on site was quick and tidy, with minimal disruption to the gym. Then we added the finishing touch: a starry fibre-optic ceiling. Because even a gym sauna deserves a bit of a Lapland night sky.
A sauna to match the club: modern, built for heavy daily use, and like nothing else in town.
Traditional heat and infrared, in one room.
The sauna
- Harvia heater for real löyly, built for heavy daily use
- Full-spectrum infrared panels on the back wall, behind the backrest and under the benches
- Benches and infrared surrounds prefabricated in our Auckland workshop
- Starry fibre-optic ceiling lighting
Same seven stages as every build.
