A free-standing steam room, built so our client can enjoy steam therapy whenever she needs it.
This free-standing steam room in Hamilton is one of our favourites, and not just because of how good it looks.
Our client lives with a medical condition, and steam therapy has helped her enormously. So she wanted a steam room of her own, ready whenever she needs it.
We built it as a free-standing room: formed, fully waterproofed, then tiled throughout, with a curved lounger to stretch out on, a bench opposite and a hand shower to cool off. We don't think we've ever had a happier customer than on the day we handed it over.

The steam room
- Free-standing room, so no existing bathroom needed
- Fully waterproofed before a single tile went on
- Curved, ergonomic lounger and a straight bench, both in mosaic tiles
- Large-format wall and floor tiles with a central drain
- Hand shower for cooling off between rounds
