Sunshine, beaches and a lot of outdoor living: Nelson and Tasman suit a sauna, whether it's at home, at the bach or down at the pool.
We're under contract for the sauna work at the Richmond Aquatic Centre, planned to be finished before Christmas 2027. It joins our other public pool saunas, like the South Waikato Aquatic Centre in Tokoroa and Napier's Ocean Spa.
We've been supplying the region for years. For Mapua Leisure Park we supplied an 18 kW Harvia heater, controls and stones for the park's sauna. In Upper Moutere we supplied a Harvia Legend heater, controls and two infrared panels for a home hybrid sauna. Around Nelson we've supplied Harvia wood-fired stoves and flues, electric heaters and controls to homes and to a local electrical supplier, and heater elements to a home in Blenheim.
Saunas, steam rooms and hybrids.
Every room we build is designed for its space. That might be a standalone outdoor sauna, a sauna in the pool house, a corner of the garage, or a compact sauna built into joinery. We also build steam rooms and hybrid saunas with a traditional heater and infrared together, and wood-fired saunas where there's no power to spare.
Benches are made and test-fitted in our Auckland workshop, then the room is built on site with Finnish and Estonian sauna timber and Harvia heaters we import ourselves. Behind the walls it's the same every time: proper insulation, a real vapour barrier, heat-rated cable and good ventilation.
Pools, parks and homes.
Public pools and holiday parks put a sauna through a lot: long opening hours, heavy use and constant cleaning. We build them with commercial heaters and controls, hard-wearing timber, and benches and ventilation designed for the number of people using them.
At home, a lot of Tasman saunas end up outdoors or at the bach. A wood-fired sauna works well on a lifestyle block, and a hybrid with infrared panels gives you a gentler, quicker option for everyday use.
Benches are made and test-fitted in our Auckland workshop and travel down ready to install. Heaters, timber and parts ship to Nelson and Tasman from our Auckland stock.
Servicing, repairs and upgrades.
We service saunas whether we built them or not: worn-out stones, tired benches, heaters that take forever to heat, poor ventilation and smells. A new heater or a set of fresh benches can make an old sauna feel new again.
Han and Hayden are running the Richmond Aquatic Centre job together, so our team will be in the region regularly. Meet the team.
